Grew up in Auckland, New Zealand. After playing the spoilt brat Chelsea on the New Zealand TV series 'Gloss, she moved to Sydney to complete the Journey. She then won the role of Claire on McLeod's Daughters. After three years she decided it was time for a change and was written out when her character's jeep plummeted off a cliff, taking her to her death. She then moved on to a guest role in Stingers.
Met her husband Chris at fellow McLeod's Daughters actress Rachael Carpani's (Jodi) 21st birthday party.She became a vegetarian after joining the cast of McLeod's Daughters.In 2002 she picked up the award for Most Popular New Female Talent at the Australian TV Week Logie Awards.For two years prior to joining McLeod's Daughters in the role of Claire, she completed "The Journey" program at the Actors Centre in Sydney, Australia.Won the Silver Logie in 2004Supports donating blood and encourages everyone to give bloodShe is working on her first album in 2005 which should be released later in the year. The album called "When Then Is Now".She has written a children's book, and loves to write both lyrics and other texts.In March of 2004, she became an ambassador for The Humor Foundation. She wanted to help raise money to keep The Clown Doctors in Australian hospitals.
